An act for recruiting by voluntary inlistment [sic] the three regiments of this state in the service of the United States ... Council Chambers [Trenton?] June 1779.

Pursuant to the 9 March 1779 resolution of Congress that required individual states to provide fighting men, this act calls for the enlistment of 365 "able bodied and effective volunteers ... into the three regiments of this state in the service of the United States, to continue ... during the present war with Great Britain." Establishes pay for recruiting officers (20$ for every recruit) and for enlistees ($250 in addition to the $200) and "bounty of cloathing and land given by the resolutions of Congress."
